Prof. Gabriele Freni was appointed full professor in Urban Water Systems at the University of Enna “Kore” in October 2018. He is author of more that 220 scientific papers with more than 100 papers on international journals. His main research topics are related to urban water systems, water quality, environmental modeling and related uncertainty. Participated to more than 30 research projects at national and European level (including FP5, FP6, FP7, EPC-MED programmes) mainly related to water quality, water treatment and natural water preservation. He coordinated projects at national level both related to urban drainage modelling and management and related to natural water quality preservation. Since 2015 he is a member of the Leading Team of the IAHR/IWA Technical Committee on Hydroinformatics and elected as Executive Chair in July 2018. He was the Chair of the Organising Committee of the 13th Hydroinformatics International Conference, held in Palermo 1st – 6th July 2018. He is Editor of IWA Journals Water Science and Technology and Water Supply and Associate Editor of the IAHR Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research.
