Marian Muste

Dr. Muste is Research Engineer and Adjunct Professor at The University of Iowa.    His research area spans experimental river hydraulics and development of watershed data/information management systems, sensors and sensor networks, and their implementation in research and education on sustainable use of water and land resources. Focal interests include acoustic and image-based instrumentation, uncertainty analysis, and investigation of sediment-transport in rivers using laboratory and in-situ measurements. Dr Muste is author or co-author of more than 200 technical papers and 80 reports. He is the lead author of the first textbook on “Experimental Hydraulics” published in 2017 as a two-volume set under the IAHR monograph series. Dr. Muste is technical expert for UNESCO and World Meteorological Organization in the area of hydrometry.
